Samsung SM-T900 and SM-T905 revealed by shipping documents

Samsung SM-T900 and T905 shipment noticesIt appears that another Samsung tablet has been revealed by India’s Zauba shipment tracking database. In fact, two variants of the tablet, the SM-T900 and the SM-T905, appear recently. These are, if past convention is followed, the Wi-Fi and LTE variants of this mysterious new tablet. R&D samples landed in India as recently as December 16.

The shipping listings reveal little else about the tablets themselves but the declared value of about INR34,000 (about CA$585) suggests that these are higher-end models. At the same time, we should not take these values as more than estimates. An entry for the SM-T110 shows a value of just over INR33,000 (about CA$565). This same SM-T110 is expected to launch as the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and sell for as low as €100 (about CA$145).

Samung is rumoured to be looking to launch four new tablets in Q1 2014. We expect one to be the entry-level Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and another to be the Galaxy Note 12.2. With all the rumours that have recently surfaced, there are a few possibilities for the SM-T900. It could be the oft-rumoured 13.3-inch model  which could also come with dual-boot capabilities into Android and Windows. Let’s not forget also about those rumoured 8- or 10-inch high-end tablets sporting AMOLED displays.

Perhaps Samsung will make some tablet announcements at CES 2014.
