Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 headed to Bell Mobility

Sony Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra coming soon to BellAs of today we know that at least one Canadian carrier will soon offer the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Bell Mobility today launched a ‘coming soon’ page for both the 6.4-inch phablet as well as its smaller sibling, the Xperia Z1 which was announced at IFA 2013. Those interested can pre-register to get updates as to when the two devices will launch.

Sony announced that the Xperia Z Ultra was coming to Canada earlier this month but did not provide details as to when, where and for how much. It remains to be seen if the Xperia Z Ultra will be a Bell exclusive or if it will hit multiple carriers like the Xperia Z1. The latter is coming in mid-October to a number of carriers, including Bell, Rogers and TELUS (with Rogers being the exclusive carrier for the purple Xperia Z1).

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD (1080×1920) TRILUMINOS display as well as a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Google Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (with Android 4.3 on the way), LTE connectivity, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a 3,000mAh battery. Like other recent high-end Sony Xperia devices, it is both dust and waterproof.

The Xperia Z1 shares many specifications with the Xperia Z Ultra comes with a smaller 5.0-inch Full HD (1080×1920) TRILUMINOS display and a 20.7MP camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor and G-Lens (f/2.0 aperture and 27mm wide angle).

With October just around the corner, it should not be too much longer before the new Sony Xperia devices land in Canada.
