Verizon DROID ULTRA caught on camera?

Rumoured Verizon DROID ULTRA by Motorola

Yesterday, we saw a leaked image of the Motorola DROID MAXX (model number XT1080M) headed to Verizon. Now comes an image of the DROID Ultra (model number XT1080), a smaller sibling to the MAXX. And much like yesterday’s leak, no details were provided with the image found at xda-developers.

Unlike yesterday’s image, the DROID Ultra makes its appearance in white, one of three rumoured colours (along with red and black) for its launch at Verizon. Like in the image we saw yesterday, we can see capacitive buttons (Home, Back and Multi-task) below the display with front-facing camera, sensors and/or LED notification, speaker at the top. The Motorola logo is also visible in the top left corner. The power button and volume rocker are again located on the right side.

All in all, it appears that the DROID Ultra will be very reminiscent of last year’s RAZR HD and the DROID MAXX.

Just days ago, the DROID Ultra appeared on Motorola’s website promising a Kevlar body and a “bunch of glossy colors.”

There is still no word on when Verizon and Motorola will unveil the new DROID lineup but it is expected in time for this year’s holiday shopping season.
