Microsoft unveiled the new Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 earlier this week. Already available for pre-order, Microsfot has now begun its marketing blitz with this first Surface 2 ad:
Meet the new Surface. Not just a laptop, not just a tablet. Thinner, lighter with great battery life. It’s the one device for everything in your life.
Gone is the clickety-clack of tablets and keyboards being attached seen in the first ad for the original Surface. Instead, Microsoft is pitching the Surface 2 as a device that is “not just a laptop” and “not just a tablet” but one that lets you “do real work.” It’s certainly a slicker ad.
The Surface 2 starts at $449 while the Surface Pro 2 starts at $899. Both are set to launch on October 22.
