Concept Sunday: Apple iPhone 6 concept based on leaked schematics

Rumoured Apple iPhone 6 schematics

Following the leak of a schematic diagram that showed alleged dimensions of an upcoming Apple iPhone device, a Japanese magazine printed (and reprinted by Macotakara) the schematics for two iPhone models. According to MacFan, the images show the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and a larger device with a 5.7-inch one. Nowherelse.fr then obtained two more illustrations, again showing 4.7-inch (model 56 / 402) and 5.7-inch (model N61 / 401) devices.

Assuming for a moment that these are legitimate, these drawings reveal not only dimensions but a new design for Apple’s next generation of iPhones. Not only would it be even thinner than the iPhone 5S at 7.1 millimeters, but it would also sport a much curvier look with rounded sides. A single volume rocker button would replace the current two button design and the headphone jack would move to the far right on the bottom. It also sports a sapphire glass display.

Nowherelse.fr took these drawings to graphic designer Martin Hajek and asked him to come up with some renders of that this new iPhone could look like. Here is the Apple iPhone 6 concept he came up with:

There are no details about specifications to go with all these new images. An earlier rumour suggested that the iPhone 6 would come with an Apple A8 processor running at 2.6GHz and an “Ultra-Retina” display offering a pixel density of 389PPI. It also suggested an even thinner, 5.59 millimeters, design.

If nothing else, this Apple iPhone 6 concept is definitely a very attractive design.
