LG G Pro 2 to sport 0.4mm thin bezels

Rumoured LG G Pro 2LG has already revealed a number of details about the upcoming LG G Pro 2, including its name and details on its 13MP camera with ‘OIS Plus.’ Other details have not been announced but that has not prevented rumours from trying to fill in the missing information. The latest, this time via Korea’s The Financial News, indicates that it will come with a 5.9-inch display that will take up 77.2% of the phone’s front panel thanks to very thin bezels.

While there have been leaked pictures of the LG G2 Pro, we have yet to see the front of the device. The report claims that the bezels could be as thin as 0.4 millimeters (yes, less than 1 millimeter!), effectively making them almost invisible. If so, LG may well be able to offer a device comparable in size to ones with smaller displays, say 5.7-inch or perhaps even 5.5-inch ones) .

Thin bezels may be a trend to watch for 2014. Just a couple of days back, blurry images of a mysterious Sony Xperia device also showed what appeared to be very thin bezels.

As for the LG G Pro 2’s display itself, it is expected to be a Full HD (1080×1920) IPS one.

Previous reports have indicated that the LG G Pro 2 will also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, LTE-Advanced connectivity and Google Android 4.4 KitKat. It could also be LG’s first smartphone to come with 3GB of RAM.

The LG G Pro 2 will be unveiled at MWC 2014. All should be revealed then.
