Rumours have been hinting a new BlackBerry smartphone with a 5-inch display codenamed Aristo for some time now. Expected some time later this year, it was initially expected to launch as the BlackBerry A10 but more recent rumours suggest that it be known as the BlackBerry Z30. It has already appeared in videos as well as in pictures next to its smaller siblings, the Z10 and Q5. Now we find it next to the Nokia Lumia 925 which comes with a 4.5-inch display.
It should come as no surprise that the BlackBerry Z30 is taller and wider than the Lumia 925.
As for specifications, this latest report adds nothing new. Based on past rumours, the BlackBerry Z30 will be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, BlackBerry 10.2. It will also come with a 5-inch HD (720×1280/295PPI) OLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for additional storage, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera and a non-removable 2,800mAh battery. It is expected to measure 140.7 by 72 by 9.4 millimeters.
There is no word yet on availability and pricing but the BlackBerry Z30 is expected by the end of the year.
