Google Nexus 10 to launch on CyberMonday?

Google NexusRumours about the launch of the second generation Google Nexus 10 have so far not panned out. Recent launch dates such as November 22 or even Black Friday have passed without any sign of the tablet. Now a rumour suggests that it will launch on CyberMonday.

The report by India’s International Business Times provide no clue as to where this latest information originated and describe it as a “possibility.” It does sound that those looking to get their hands on this tablet could once again be disappointed.

While both the Google Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 were the topic of fairly consistent prior to their launch, the same cannot be said for the Nexus 10. Even the who the manufacturer is seems to change regularly. Originally believed to be Samsung, the company behind the original Nexus 10, signs then emerged that it would in fact be ASUS. More recent rumours have pointed to LG.

The report goes on to suggest that the later than expected launch could be due to supply constraints. By not launching on Black Friday or earlier, Google and its partner may see less demand for the device and therefore have an easier time fulfilling it. At the same time, it goes on to indicate that launch countries will include Canada, the U.S. as well as select markets in Europe and Asia, including Japan.

The bottom line at this point: Keep your fingers crossed for tomorrow if you hope to get your hands on the Google Nexus 10 but also keep a healthy pinch of salt close at hand.
