Samsung Galaxy S5 concept video

Samsung Galaxy S5 concept

We’ve already covered one concept of what the Samsung Galaxy S5 might look like. A new video pushes the envelope further. Here’s what the folks at O2 Guru TV would like to see:

Among the predictions are an aluminium body that is nonetheless flexible (up to 30 degrees), the disappearance of the Home button (at last?) and some rather impressive specifications:

  • Processor: 64-bit octa-core
  • Operating system: Android 4.4 KitKat with new version of Samsung’s TouchWiz overlay
  • Display: 5-inch WQHD (2560×1440/587PPI) AMOLED
  • RAM: 3GB
  • Rear-facing camera: 16MP with 4K video capture
  • Battery: 4,000mAh
  • Other: Front-facing stereo speakers with S-Beats audio technology

Some rumours have already alluded to some of these details, including the metal frame just today, the 64-bit processor and the 16MP camera with OIS.

Whether the Samsung Galaxy S5 can live up to the promise of this concept remains to be seen. With a rumoured announcement as early as January 2014, we may not have to wait too long to see how close this concept got to reality. In the meantime, feel free to let us know what you think of it in the comments below.
