LG G FLex 2 to be unveiled at CES 2015?

LG G FlexWith just over a month to go before we bid farewell to 2014, it is unlikely that LG will make good on its plans to launch the LG G Flex 2 this year. The company had confirmed earlier this year that a successor to one of the first smartphones with a flexible display (pictured above) was on its way this year but it now appears that it may only do so early next year. Android Authority has learned that the LG G Flex 2 will make its debut at CES 2015 in early January 2015.

Few details about the LG G Flex 2 are known at this point but the report suggests that it will be a “major upgrade” over the original LG G Flex. It will reportedly sport Full HD p-OLED (Plastic OLED) display but come with a smaller form factor. An improved version of the self-healing coating could also make a return. A flexible battery, another feature of the LG G Flex, is another strong possibility. Other upgraded specifications are also a likely bet.

With CES 2015 running from January 6 to 9, it should not be long before we could get our first look at the LG G Flex 2 (and a raft of other new devices).

Will 2015 be the breakout year for devices with flexible displays? Let us know below if you think it will be.
