Moto G specifications leaked again ahead of announcement

Rumoured Moto G

With a day to go before Motorola formally unveils the Moto G, another retailer has inadvertently posted the upcoming smartphone to its website briefly. Following a similar mistake by Amazon yesterday, German retailer Phone House temporarily listed the Moto G earlier today along with specifications. Most of the details line up with what we have learned from previous rumours but they report the battery size as slightly larger.

Rumoured Moto G specifications:

  • Processor: 1.2GHz quad-core
  • Operating system: Google Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
  • Cellular connectivity: UMTS/HSPA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Other connectivity: GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
  • Display: 4.5-inch HD (720×1280)
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Internal storage: 8GB
  • External storage: Not specified
  • Rear-facing camera: 5MP with 720p HD video capture
  • Front-facing camera: 1.3MP
  • Battery: 2,070mAh
  • Dimensions: 129.9 × 65.9 × 11.6 millimeters
  • Weight: 143 grams

The listing made no mention of LTE or coloured backplates. It also listed the internal storage at 8GB whereas other rumours have put it at 16GB. It’s fair at this point to expect that Motorola will unveil two models, one with 8GB and another with 16GB.

Pricing was not revealed but Amazon pegged the price at sell for £159.99 (about CA$270) .

We’ll be live at Motorola Canada’s event tomorrow morning and will bring you full coverage of the Moto G announcement. If you want to catch the event for yourself, it will be livestreamed as well.
